Wow, I'm embarrassed at how long it's been since I've posted. We've been busy. In May we went to the ranch in Nebraska again, the boys LOVE it up there. In July it was Colorado for the 4th, again, had a wonderful time. We went to Disney World for the boys' third birthday which was amazing, such a fun time and we can't wait to go back! The boys went to their first football games in October to see the Sooners. In November we went back to Nebraska and all of us went to their first Nebraska game. We started potty training in December, which they took to like champs. There have been a few accidents, and we're still in diapers at night, but it's been pretty great so far. Christmas was so fun! They really got into it and I think they're still in denial it's over.
And then there's the other big change that's coming, a new baby sister with an estimated arrival June 6, 2013! I'm 32 weeks now and so far so good. It's been a completely different pregnancy so far, appointments few and far between and infrequent ultrasounds. I had a lot of all-day sickness in the beginning, though didn't vomit nearly as much as with the boys, the nausea hung around a lot longer, well into the second trimester and still occasionally hits me. With the boys it stopped right at the end of the first trimester. I wasn't nearly as tired with this one as with the boys but definitely felt the pregnancy fatigue. And my skin was worse than with the boys, all those old wives tales about boys vs. girls definitely were true for me. I started feeling her flutter and move earlier than with the boys, around 16 weeks vs. 20-21 with them, and that's my favorite part of pregnancy. I love that connection! We had an anatomy scan at 18 weeks that gave her a clean bill of health and then a gender reveal party where we found out she was a girl, all confirmed with a growth scan a few weeks ago. Now that we're almost there we're getting stocked up on diapers, clothes, and nursery/baby supplies. We have gotten rid of just about everything from the boys, and the things we have left like some clothing won't work for a baby girl, so we're pretty much starting over again. It's so much easier/cheaper buying for 1 though! I had some anxiety at first, and still do, but this pregnancy is much lower stress than the last. For one I'm not as worried about pre-term labor or losing a baby. And if the first pregnancy taught me anything, it's that regardless of your plans we have no control over what happens. I can predict that I'll have even less time for posting blogs though!
