I haven't updated in forever, probably because these boys are active and keep me on my toes! But they are pronouncing things so cute and I want to make sure I record some of them.
The way they say "flashlight" and "butterfly" sound exactly the same
They say sorry as "saw-we"
"Fix it"
"Kiss my boo-boo"
They way they say their brothers "brudders" names: ah-wan, caw-win, ryn-an
Please is "puh-wease"
Thank you is "dank you"
"my twurn", Evan's pronunciation is more like "twourn"
They like to be tucked in, but say covers "cubbers", Ryan is like his mommy in that he likes his feet covered and will say "feet" until you cover them
They love to give and get kisses "kiss, kiss"
"braska" for Nebraska
Barclay is "barky", Henley they don't say much but is "hen wee"
They recognize all the cats, "tucker kitty", "widgie kitty", "taweetha" for Tabitha
In the car they will claim outside things "my cwouds" "my twees"
"I not go nap time anymore" - particularly Ryan
"saw saw" is dinosaur, "rawr" is tiger
yellow is "ye wo"
There you go is "dare dee yo"
Lots of things are "scawee"
"it's hebbies" for heavy
"ta da!" for lots of things :)
When one wants to know where his brothers are, or wants them to join him, it's "guys" such as "ober here guys"
They know their colors and can count to 10 (mostly). They can recognize some letters. They know the kids in their CDO class, it's so cute. They know just about every animal noise you can think of.
They have remarkable memories and will remember things they did days ago or remember things we say we are going to do days from now.
Evan in particular will push a kitchen chair up to the counter to get what he wants (food, object, to pretend to cook, etc.) - "I cooking pasta". They've all climbed out of their cribs once or twice, but we have managed to keep them convinced that they don't want to do that and so far no big-boy beds yet. Collin has twice initiated nap time on his own by leading me back to his bed requesting a nap, gotta love that. They can lock and unlock a deadbolt and open most doors, Ryan locked Evan, Collin, and I out of the house after a trip to the park, fortunately the back door and yard gate were unlocked and we got in.
They like to play basketball while wearing football helmets, it's really cute. They recognize OU and Nebraska football helmets/logos and the Thunder basketball logos.
They will boss us around and direct us where to sit, "sit that couch mommy". They also like to eat our food and will climb down from their seats and climb up on our laps. They like adult sized silverware and use it pretty well.
They love Finding Nemo, it's their absolute favorite movie. They'll also ask to watch How to Train Your Dragon, Penguins of Madagascar, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. They love to play outside and go up and down slides as well as running around with their lawn-mower and cars.
